Escape to luxury

Are you looking for a unique place to celebrate a special occasion? Then look no further than Puggiestone House, set in the heart of Dartmoor.

This stunning country home lies within walking distance of the ancient stannary market town of Chagford, and just a 30-minute drive from the cathedral city of Exeter. Guests here can enjoy magnificent views over landscaped gardens, adjacent woodlands and the river Teign, while making the
most of the home’s access to Dartmoor’s beautiful scenery and abundance of picturesque villages and fine country inns.

“watch the birds and squirrels over breakfast – a wonderful way to start the day!”

Outside, there is a barbecue area for al fresco summer dining on the large terrace, as well as a separate dining area in the courtyard overlooking a pool fountain. There are several hideaway spots too, plus the uniquely designed modern Tree House overlooking the river Teign – ideal for entertaining.

Various locations within the property are licensed for weddings, and there have been several large-scale music events in the grounds. What’s more, for exercise and fun, there is a large heated indoor swimming pool with a child’s play pool and a sauna!

Inside the main house, guests will find a spacious glass lounge with stunning views, which has been tastefully furnished in a modern style with comfortable sofas, perfect for watching the 90-inch TV. There’s also the library, which has a great collection of books and even a Playstation 4. During the cooler months, the library is a lovely spot in which to curl up with a book, especially thanks to the open fire.

The dining room seats 14, which is great for those special dinners, and the kitchen is fully equipped with all the mod-cons you’d expect. It’s also a good spot from which to watch the birds and squirrels over breakfast – a wonderful way to start the day!

The bedrooms and bathrooms are all individually designed to the highest standard, with the master bedroom enjoying a separate dressing room, and across the courtyard you’ll find a separate en suite annex for two extra guests.

Up to two well-behaved dogs are more than welcome and if you have any special requests, or want tips on how to make the most of your stay, Louisa is always on hand and happy to help.

Puggiestone House is charming to the last touch and we can almost guarantee that you’ll fall in love with the atmosphere of peace and tranquility that permeates throughout the entire property. But don’t just take our word for it – head to the website and read the reviews for yourself!
